To know what you guyz think is the best video editing software around for PC
I'm looking for one with heaps of features (heaps of special FX, wide range of file format encoders etc.)
And would anyone know of a good DivX encoder
Any help much appreciated

Adobe Premiere is decent for video editing, as for DivX encoding just get the DivX 5 codec which is wicked

Sorry NaSTy, can't help you out with the software, but Iceman is right, DiVX 5 is pretty good.

I also like the old 3.11 Alpha, I find it has the best IQ.

Yeah.. I have Adobe Premiere 6. But I need something newer with more.. it needs more, more more more
GIVE ME MORE!!
And as for this DivX I think some time back I downloaded DivX 5 & 3.11 Alpha but It only allowed me to
play DivX movies not encode. Did I download the wrong thing?

Pinnacle Studio???

You should be able to encode using the DivX codecs...try getting the Pro versions. Or maybe the software is crap.
