personally i like overnet a lot better..kazaa is so dam annoying to me for some reason...overnet is a bit confusing at the beginning tho..but it gets better..haha..

as for dls not starting..leave it over night...my dls some times dont start right away either..but that depends on availability...because the peepz that have it might have like 50 people in line waiting to dl their stuff...

Has anyone used the file sharing program OverNet??? Does it have spyware? Does it contain a virus like Kazaa does? Does it use a lot fo system resources? WOuld like to know if this is a good program or bad and I am talking about the free version not the registered one cause taht cost money.

the p2p applications like kazaa, morpheus, etc dont have virus's themselfs but its the people using them ... i dont know if that overnet has spyware but i am willing to bet that it does. (hense you want free stuff they want free stuff in return ... like your information)

i am also willing to bet that this overnet uses the same network as the other p2p applications use so you will not do any better then what you would with kazaa or anything

Overnet is bull************************e.
My friend swears by it because he says he can get Great quality movies. But it takes him a week or two.
I had it for a while.. and I think it's garbage. www.sharereactor.com is a nice site that adds to Overnet. It's like sig2dat for Kazaa. But my downloads never started... ever.
It's an eDonkey ripoff/clone/whatever. It has that stupid ad banner near the top.. and it's hard to find a working serial.

overnet is the edonkey for XP, it doesn't establish direct connections like any other p2p, it uses the microsoft net service inbuilt to XP. using all of microsofts databases against them. the advantage is no hacks and no info gathering. disadvantages are if you don't have a name you can't get anything at all. emule is the best, but you need linux for that.

leave it on over night? Well I usually dont have 5hours to waste and would rather just use kazaa than waiting over night/long times with overnet
