Default Xvid problem

has anyone ever gotten a problem with Xvid movies that'll show a coat of green layer duing playback?... it basicall just smears along the screen as the scene moves on...

Hmm... Which version of Xvid are you using Howard BAM!? I haven't had any problems with my Xvid movies...

ummmm.... not sure... maybe i just have to reinstall it. althogh i've heard something about xvid can corrupt some of the direct show filters. and i use the direct show filters a lot to play divx's with digital output (dolby digital sound). so i don't want to screw that up!!!

Howard BAM! actually which player do you use to watch Xvid movies? I usually use ATi Multi Media Controller myself to watch movies (which plays them just fine), but I know if I use WMP I do get that green thingy!

Whenever I encode anything in Xvid it has a green sreen for the first couple of frame but is dissapears straight away when the video starts. It could be somethng to do with either the player you are using or the encoding program
